International Duty and VAT
When ordering from outside the USA, many countries charge duty and value added tax (VAT). Madisound does not add any taxes or fees to your order, but your country will probably charge you when you receive the order. We have put together some duties and taxes that we were able to find on the internet. These were valid on October 13, 2008; we are not sure what the current percentage is when you read this.
Even if you’re country or tax is not listed here, your country is probably charging a fee. Most countries have government web sites where you can look up import fees. The tariff code for loudspeaker parts starts with 8518.29. In the US it is 8518.29.8000 and in the European Union it is 8518.29.9590; your country may have a different 4 digit ending.
Note: This information is provided as a general guideline. In many of the countries that we ship to, VAT and/or duty is only charged on orders over a certain dollar amount. Please consult your local post office for detailed info.
If you notice that these rates are incorrect, please contact us.
