This kit consists of two woofers, two tweeters, and two professionally assembled crossovers.  ScanSpeak Illuminator woofers are based on a patent pending "underhung" neodymium ring motor design with an extremely open cast aluminum chassis. The new 5¼" actually moves so much air, its performance exceeds many competitors' 6½" models.

 "I would describe the Lumine as being neutral, in the sense that it reproduces what is on the recording. Having said that, on a really good recording they are close to life-like. Detailed, transparent, smooth and crisp are adjectives I would use to describe them. I would call them bright except that in the past I have found bright speakers are fatiguing and these don't have that effect. Finally, for the music I listen to, which is mostly acoustic, they have more than adequate bass." -

The Fostex BK-12m utilizes the ever popular Fostex FE126En 4.5" Full-Range driver combined with a custom designed folded horn enclosure. The cabinets are locally cut by CNC machine from high quality multi-layer 5/8" Baltic Birch and delivered flat packed. Wood glue, clamps and a little sand paper are all that is required for assembly.

Once assembled, each folded horn enclosure measures 31 5/8" tall x 7 1/4" wide x 14 1/2" deep. The unfinished/unstained wood is ready for your choice of finish.
