There has been some confusion lately regarding the "Passive Crossover Designer", where it is located, and what the current version is, so I thought it would be good to clarify things.

In the beginning the "Passive Crossover Designer" was hosted very graciously by Paul V. at the FRDC - "Frequency Response Data Consortium" website along with many other programs that were all developed to work together. And all updates of the PCD have been on this site as well until version 6 was released.

In early 2007 Paul V. moved along to other things and I have been unable to reconnect with him since. Since I could not make contact with Paul, Charlie Laub was nice enough to offer to set up a webpage for my spreasheets (make sure you thank Charlie when you see him or exchange emails with him, this was a very nice gesture). So, although the FRDC page is still active, and you can still find version 5 of the PCD there, all of my latest releases are at the site linked below. The current version is 6.12, by the way.

Since I can not make contact with Paul V. I can do nothing about the fact that there are two different versions of my programs out there, but if you want the most up to date ones then bookmark the site below and you will find the latest there now and in the future.

I am sorry for any confusion this has cause. I seem to get emails every week or two asking about this so I thought this would be a good time and place to try to explain things.

Thanks for using my stuff and happy speaker building.

And, I should add, that I will always be indebted to Paul V. and all that he did to help make my spreadsheets better and to host them on his site. I wish him the best in all that he does.

Jeff B.
