Sealed Box Alignment:
Home: You can use this woofer in a sealed and stuffed box of about 0.6 cubic feet for an in home F3 of 55Hz. If used with a plate amp that has a boost, it would go even lower.
Car: If the same sealed box is used in a vehicle, assuming 6dB of cabin gain, your F3 would be about 35Hz.
Vented Box Alignment:
Home: You can use a 1.25 cubic foot box with a 3" diameter vent by 12" long for an F3 of 35Hz. If using a plate amp with a built in boost, it should go to the upper 20's.
Car: Sealed boxes are usually recommended for autosound applications as vented boxes can seem boomy.
Passive Radiator Alignment:
Home: When used with the Peerless 831481 10" passive radiator in a 1.1 cubic foot box, your F3 will be about 35Hz.
Car: In a car response, the bass is boosted on the low end and the F3 extends to 20Hz. I'm not sure how passive radiator systems would sound in a car.
