BK-20 Baltic Birch Cabinet - Pre-cut Wood for 8" Full Range Speaker
The wood pieces for the BK20 are all pre-cut and sold flat. The side walls have been grooved to make positioning and assembly easier. The woofer hole has been cut to 182mm, to accept most Fostex 8" full range speakers. We are recommending the Fostex FE206E full range speaker, but the cabinet may also work for the FE207E, FF225K and FE208EZ.
Please look at the BK-16 kit as an example of what this would look like finished.
You may also decide to add a super tweeter to your speaker and the Fostex T90A would be a good choice, as it has worked very well in the BK-16 kit too.
The rear panel is cut for the TD-CUP Dual Binding Post input cup. This allows for the easy addition of a super tweeter. Don't foget to order these with your cabinets.
After assembly, you may wish to round off the corners and then either clear coat or paint the cabinet. Please look to the BK16 kit as an example on how it looks with a cleat coat.
