12" PP Cone Woofer
This driver is a continuation of the famous NHT1259 woofer. Still produced by Foster, but due to parts availability, it has changed enough that we have changed the name to MAD1259.
The MAD1259 can be used in a sealed cabinet of 3.5 to 5 cubic feet. If used with an amplifier with a built in low frequency boost, you can expect to get down to about 25Hz (30Hz without the boost). The bass from this speaker is very tight and natural. If you like a louder, fuller bass, then we wouldn't recommend this woofer. The tightness and leanness of the speaker makes if a wonderful choice for people who wish to have a subwoofer equally at home in a high end audio system or a home theater system. It is one of our favorites.
