The Audax Home Theater System

The Audax Home Theater System was developed for Audax by Joe D'Appolito, a long time guru of the speaker industry. Once again, Joe has created a system that offers exceptional performance on a small budget. The current system consists of a Center Channel speaker, a pair of Front Channel speakers, and a pair of Rear Channel speakers. Madisound received only high praise of this system from a small poll we did several months after introduction.

The kits are based on Audax's new line of shielded Polymer Chassis woofers and Micro tweeters. The woofers feature Audax's patented Aerogel cones; light, stiff and well damped. Aerogel cones have a unique sound that is both detailed and airy. The tweeter is a 1" textile dome with a neodymium magnet system, whose compact size allows it to be placed very close to the woofers.

The Madisound kits come with all the drivers, assembled crossovers with high quality parts as specified in the design, stuffing, foam, screws, all brass gold plated input terminals, gasket tape, solder and wire.

If purchasing the kit with cabinets, our cabinets are oak veneered MDF with solid oak corners and 1" thick front baffle. The front is black with a full black grill and the back is black. The cabinets are available in either a clear varnish over oak veneer or a black painted oak veneer. Cabinets are fully assembled and precut. If purchasing the kits without cabinets, we provide cabinet plans, but you may need to order grill cloth, grill fasteners and ports. We don't have a cabinet made for the subwoofer, but you could use our WSNHT enclosure and add a port.
